I do not answer the phone. Ever. Our answering machine tells people to go away unless they are friends & family, in which case they can say who they are and we will pick up.
I do answer most of the political polls that are online or by postal mail.
But if they phone me, they will strike out 100% of the time.
The telephone used to be an instrument of communication. It was the best instrument of communication, before the internet. Now it is simply an instrument of intrusion and torture.
