Just went through Notables for the day and saw several postings about the Bubonic Plague. One listing I saw was that a squirrel in Colorado tested positive for it. Here in Arizona it's common to hear about the Prairie Dogs near Flagstaff testing positive. Some years ago there were a few cases of Plague in south Phoenix. It sounds scary(and is if the plague goes pneumonic)but Plague for the most part is treatable, and much more common than most people think. People just don't hear much about it because it is so treatable. Sorry, no sauce. Common knowledge in Arizona.
