My main disappointment in this is Tuberville is a football coach, not a law scholar.
The intent of the Senate, from the framers' perspective, was to make sure the bills passed in the House pass constitutional muster. One must know the constitution for this body to function as intended (not that it works that way now unfortunately). Sessions had vast experience here. Tuberville is unknown, whereas Jeff never took a bribe, kickback etc, AFAIK.
The House is by its natural political, but the Senate was never meant to be this way.
