Digging more on this, not yet done.

In short, UK Royals have some diplomatic immunity, especially when traveling on official business.

In any event, an arrest cannot be made within the "verges" of a royal palace, regardless of whether the monarch is present.

So, Andrew could use Buckingham, Windsor, Balmoral, as boltholes, provided Mummy allows it.

My total spitball … if Ghislaine secretly married the Dork of Yuke, could the royals intervene? Again, just spitballing, but if she has a secret marriage, the secrecy is probably part of a quid pro quo; she gets something in return for keeping the marriage a secret.

What would be most revealing is the date of the supposed marriage. If it occurred after Epstein's first arrest in Florida, it might suggest that Maxwell's marriage was a defensive move.

Also rememberspousal immunity. This prevents a party or the state from forcing one spouse to testify against the other. Perhaps Maxwell tied the knot for $upport in exchange for her legally enforceable silence. Or maybe the other way around: she married someone to keep them from testifying against her.

Anon suggest secret marriage to Epstein. This would make sense, too.

But I'm going with a celeb or politician, who says "I'll marry and support you, but this means I can prevent you from testifying against me. But you have to keep it a secret so as not to draw suspicion. We only play the immunity card if the target is put on my back. Enjoy New Hampshire, Ghislane."

good dig

but it looks like the exceptions are more applicable to the testimony privilege but not the spousal confidentiality privilege.

let's assume that G.M. was secretly married for a reason; and, she has good lawyers
