REPORT: Trump Secretly Authorized CIA To Carry Out Cyber Attacks On Iran, China, Russia And Others

A new report from Yahoo claims that a 2018 presidential finding from President Donald Trump authorized the Central Intelligence Agency to unilaterally carry out cyber attacks against a host of countries including Iran, China, Russia and North Korea.

The report, which quotes numerous current and former U.S. intelligence sources, says the previously secret authorization has resulted in more than a dozen destabilizing attacks against the aforementioned countries.

“The White House wanted a vehicle to strike back,” one intelligence official told Yahoo. “And this was the way to do it.”

The finding reportedly loosened Langley’s evidence restrictions for approving cyberattacks, but some officials expressed concern that doing so lowered the CIA’s standing to that of WikiLeaks. Other officials said that the lack of oversight and coordination could adversely impact both other U.S. intelligence agencies and those of our allies if they are operating within a network attacked by the CIA.

The report named two individuals responsible for fast tracking the CIA’s new cyber benefits: Current Secretary of State and former CIA Director Mike Pompeo and former National Security Adviser John Bolton.

Bolton wrote about the need “to scrap the Obama-era rules and replace them with a more agile, expeditious decision-making structure” in his recently released book, “The Room Where It Happened.” Yahoo noted that Bolton publicly celebrated in September 2018 Trump’s decision to ease Obama-era cyber regulations on the military, but the authorization specific to the CIA was kept secret by the administration.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the National Security Council, and multiple White House officials did not respond to Daily Caller’s inquiries by press time.

Nursing Assistant Rita Mays admitted this week to intentionally killing seven US veterans with insulin.

She worked overnight at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center.

Federal officials were investigating the mysterious deaths at the VA medical center.

A former staffer at a veterans hospital in West Virginia pleaded guilty Tuesday to intentionally killing seven patients with fatal doses of insulin, capping a sweeping federal investigation into a series of mysterious deaths at the medical center.

Reta Mays, a former nursing assistant at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg, was charged with seven counts of second-degree murder and one count of assault with the intent to commit murder of an eighth person. She faces life sentences for each murder.

At a plea hearing, Mays, 46, admitted to purposely killing the veterans, injecting them with unprescribed insulin while she worked overnight shifts at the hospital in northern West Virginia between 2017 and 2018. Her voice cracked throughout the hearing as she answered a judge’s questions. She shook and appeared to weep as details of the charges were read aloud.

Seven Ships On Fire At Southern Iran Port In Another 'Mystery' Disaster

Over the past three weeks there's been a spate of 'mystery' explosions rocking key facilities and military sites in Iran, including a blast two weeks ago that destroyed a building at Natanz nuclear facility.

And now a series of ships at the southern Iranian port of Bushehr have reportedly caught fire under mysterious circumstances. Firefighters on Wednesday struggled to put out blazes on no less than seven ships at the port, as Reuters reports:

World population set to shrink rapidly triggering ‘radical power shift’, warns new bombshell report

While predictions of a potentially catastrophic population explosion have abounded for years, new research suggests a major impending contraction by 2100, at which point the elderly will outnumber the young.

The Lancet has just published its ‘Global Burden of Disease Study’ which cites an accelerated decline in fertility rates across the developed world in coming decades. The report predicts that the world population will peak in 2064 at 9.7 billion people, before dropping precipitously to 8.8 billion by 2100.

According to the researchers, the elderly will account for a larger percentage of the global population, with octogenarians projected to outnumber toddlers under five by two-to-one by the turn of the next century.

The populations of some 23 countries including Japan, Thailand, Italy, and Spain could contract by at least 50 percent, while 183 of 195 countries included in the research would have fertility rates below the replacement level of 2.1 births.

On the one hand, China and 34 other countries are expected to witness a population decline of over 25 percent, but on the other, both Latvia and El Salvador will experience population declines of over 75 percent.

Fugitive Alabama Cop Arrested in New Hampshire for Child Trafficking, Kidnapping, Sodomy

Hampton, NH — Fort Deposit police officer Joshua Matthew Davidson, 30, of Alabama, has been on the run from authorities since June 25. He was wanted on multiple charges ranging from kidnapping and sodomy to human trafficking. Thanks to the efforts of the U.S. Marshal Service, however, this alleged child trafficking cop is now behind bars.

On June 25, several warrants were issued for Davidson’s arrest including allegations of human trafficking, second-degree kidnapping and first-degree sodomy. Dallas County, Alabama, District Court requested that bail be set at $250,000, and Davidson promised to turn himself in. However, instead of turning himself in, he fled.

After fleeing his hometown of Fort Deposit, Alabama last month, Davidson went on the run and reportedly headed up the east coast. Over the weekend the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force received information from the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force that Davidson was likely in the Seacoast.

On Friday, at 6:30 p.m., officials found Davidson hiding in an apartment in Hampton, New Hampshire. He was taken in without incident.

Though authorities refused to elaborate on the details of his alleged crimes, we can infer from the sodomy charge that at least one of his victims was a child.

Azerbaijani police disperse protesters storming parliament to demand ‘mobilization’ against Armenia amid border escalation

Police used water cannons and batons against protesters who stormed the parliament in Azerbaijan’s capital Baku. The crowd demanded mobilization amid border escalation with Armenia, but officials said that it’s unnecessary.

Enraged protesters broke into the parliament building around 4am local time, local media reported. Arriving several minutes later, police used batons to expel the intruders.

Parliament’s Protocol Office told reporters that the rioters caused some “damage” on the building’s first floor before being driven out.

Thousands gathered for a spontaneous rally in downtown Baku on Tuesday night. The crowd demanded that the government announce “mobilization” and take swifter action against Yerevan. After the rally became increasingly unruly, police deployed water cannons to disperse the protesters and clear the square outside of parliament.

Several people were arrested. Authorities launched a criminal investigation into the civil disturbance and the unlawful break-in at the parliament building.

Azerbaijan’s State Mobilization and Conscription Service later clarified that right now there is “no need” for any additional mobilization.

Clashes erupted along the northern part of the mountainous Armenia-Azerbaijan border on Sunday and continued through to Tuesday evening. The neighboring states blamed each other for the aggression and reported intense shelling by tanks, grenade launchers, and mortars. Both Yerevan and Baku reported casualties among their personnel.

In the early 1990s, Armenia and Azerbaijan fought a bloody war over Nagorno-Karabakh, a large Armenian-populated enclave inside Azerbaijan that declared independence from Baku. The large-scale fighting ended with a ceasefire agreement that resulted in Nagorno-Karabakh becoming de facto independent from Azerbaijan and closely allied with Armenia.

Court rules in Apple's favor in RECORD $15bn tax case against EU

The EU’s General Court has sided with Apple over a record €13 billion (almost $15 billion) Irish tax bill, ruling that Ireland’s relaxed taxes did not constitute illegal state aid.

The ruling, announced on Wednesday by the General Court of the European Union (GCEU), effectively annuls the European Commission’s declaration that Apple had been granted economic advantage via Ireland’s taxes.

Ireland’s Department of Finance was pleased with the decision, saying that Ireland gave “no special treatment” and that “The correct amount of Irish tax was charged… in line with normal Irish taxation rules.”

The ruling will come as a blow to European Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager, who issued the original order in 2016.

At the time, the Commission demanded that Ireland recover €13.1 billion in unpaid taxes from the tech giant over an 11-year period, as well as an additional €1.2 billion in interest.

The large figure has since been sitting in an escrow account, essentially a trusted third party, since 2018.

Apple has always denied such accusations, stating that the EU has tried to rewrite history and that it had never asked for any special arrangements.

In an interview back in 2016, Apple CEO Tim Cook even went so far as to call the debacle “total political crap.”

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt Tests Positive for Coronavirus

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt announced Wednesday that he’s the first governor in the United States to test positive for the coronavirus and that he is isolating at home.

Stitt, 48, said he mostly feels fine, although he started feeling “a little achy” on Tuesday and sought a test. He said his wife and children were also tested Tuesday and that none of them have tested positive.

Stitt has backed one of the country’s most aggressive reopening plans, resisted any statewide mandate on masks and rarely wears one himself.

“We respect people’s rights … to not wear a mask,” Stitt said during Wednesday’s news conference, which was held virtually. “You just open up a big can of worms.

“A lot of businesses are requiring it, and that’s fine. I’m just hesitant to mandate something that I think is problematic to enforce,” he said.

Stitt attended President Donald Trump’s rally in Tulsa last month, which health experts have said likely contributed to a surge in coronavirus cases there.

Stitt said he’s confident he didn’t contract the virus at the rally.

“As far as where he became infected, it’s really unknown,” Oklahoma Health Commissioner Lance Frye said. “It wasn’t so far back as the rally,” which took place nearly a month ago.

Stitt’s announcement came as Oklahoma reported a second consecutive day of record-high numbers of confirmed virus cases, with 1,075 new cases, bringing the statewide total to more than 22,000. The previous daily high was 993 confirmed cases on Tuesday. Health officials also confirmed four additional COVID-19 deaths on Wednesday, bringing the statewide death toll to 432.

Coronavirus-related hospitalizations also are surging in Oklahoma, increasing from 458 last week to 561 on Wednesday, although Frye said there is still plenty of hospital capacity.

Stitt came under fire early in the pandemic after he tweeted a photo of himself and his children eating at a crowded restaurant.

One of Stitt’s cabinet members, David Ostrowe, tested positive for the coronavirus in March.

ViacomCBS drops Nick Cannon over ‘anti-Semitic conspiracies’ after he calls whites ‘savages’ & black people ‘the true Hebrews’

ViacomCBS, which has MTV and Nickelodeon among its assets, has said it’s severing its relationship with TV host Nick Cannon, after he was accused of racism and anti-Semitism for a series of bizarre claims in a resurfaced clip.

The multinational media conglomerate accused Cannon – who has been a host for ‘Wild ‘n Out,’ a comedy show broadcast by Viacom’s MTV and VH1 for over a decade – of “promoting hateful speech” and “spreading anti-Semitic conspiracy theories” in a statement on Tuesday, shortly after an episode of his ‘Cannon’s Class’ podcast went viral.

“While we support ongoing education and dialogue in the fight against bigotry, we are deeply troubled that Nick has failed to acknowledge or apologize for perpetuating anti-Semitism, and we are terminating our relationship with him,” the company said.

The clip, uploaded to Cannon’s YouTube page on June 30, but believed to be filmed in 2019, shows Cannon interviewing former Public Enemy member Richard Griffin (who left the group under allegations of anti-Semitism for allegedly saying that “all Jews are wicked” in a 1989 interview).

Since white people lack the “power of sun,” he argued, they were forced into the life of “savages,” who endure in their “fear” of black people centuries later.

“They're the ones that are actually closer to animals, they're the ones that are actually the true savages,” he said of white people.

The fact that ViacomCBS seemingly did not take as much of an issue with Cannon’s controversial comments about race in their criticism has provoked accusations of hypocrisy.

Born in Saudi Arabia to a Bangladeshi family, Fahim Saleh moved around before his family eventually settled on Rochester, New York, according to a 2016 blog post. He attended grade school in Poughkeepsie, then went on to study at Bentley University in Massachusetts.

But it was the Big Apple that captured his heart.

The tragic 33-year-old tweeted a nighttime shot of his luxury East Houston Street apartment building — where police discovered his chopped-up body scattered in garbage bags in his seventh-floor apartment on Tuesday.

“My home,” the venture capitalist wrote with a heart emoji in December after recently moving into the $2.25 million, two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo.

He filled his Twitter with inspirational business quotes and posts about his motorbike startup, Gokada, along with signs he felt optimistic about the future.

“Have a very good feeling about 2020,” Saleh tweeted June 2.

Describing himself on LinkedIn as “an investor that finds things,” Saleh graduated from Bentley with a bachelor’s degree in computer and information science in 2009.

He founded Gokada, the Nigeria-based motorcycle ridesharing company, in 2018 and took over as CEO last year. He recently helped transition Gorkada to delivery service.

He also launched venture capital firm Adventure Capital in 2018 and served as CEO at KickBack Apps, an entertainment app company.

Saleh co-founded ride-hailing company Pathao in his parents’ home country of Bangladesh in 2015, calling it the “most well-funded startup in Bangladesh, recently valued at over $100MM.”

He also said he was an investor in Picap, Colombia’s largest motorcycle ride-sharing company.

A longtime pal described Saleh as “the Elon Musk of the developing world.”

“He was like the Energizer Bunny,” the friend said. “He played ukelele … he was so full of ideas.”

In November, Saleh tweeted about his experience doing business in Nigeria following a run-in with Nigerian authorities, who took his passport.

‘Centrists’ Demand EU Cut Off Funding for Countries Against ‘Cultural Marxism’

European liberals have demanded that Brussels “stop funding” countries in the EU which stand up to globalism.

The Renew Europe Group, the successor to the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) in the EU Parliament, blasted “ignorant” and “arrogant” populist governments in eastern and central European nations, who “do not wish to be bothered by [Brussels’] ‘cultural Marxism'”.

Head of the open borders-backing, so-called ‘centrist’ parliamentary grouping, Dacian Cioloș launched an attack on European right-wingers following a conference at which heads of state promised to defend the continent against mass immigration and other challenges.

Leaders such as Hungary’s Viktor Orbán rule their countries through “a power fuelled by nationalism, an attitude of defiance towards Europe and most disturbingly – fear”, according to an editorial by Cioloș published in Euractiv on Monday.

In it, he argues that Brussels must cut off the cash supply to countries ruled by leaders hostile to globalism, claiming that current funding rules mean “that in practice Europe is also funding their anti-EU propaganda, lies and hate”.

“Orbán in particular, though sadly he is not alone, is cut off from reality; his sole aim is to stay in power. This model seems to be working and is catching on. We cannot allow EU funds to line the pockets of anti-democratic, anti-EU autocrats,” the former prime minister of Romania said.

He argued: “This is not a debate between Eastern and Western values, but between European and anti-European values. This is why the forthcoming European Summit has to put an end to any possibility of funding illiberalism.

“In addition to a well-financed and functioning European Public Prosecutor – which is thankfully now on the table – we need a new mechanism that makes EU funds conditional on the rule of law.”

Vox Un-Populi: Flagship Liberal Media To Fire Hundreds

Vox Media is preparing for 'company-wide layoffs' in what could amount to hundreds of employees, after missing 2nd quarter forecasts by 40% - putting it on course to miss its full-year target by 25%, according to CNBC.

In addition to Vox.com, the 1,200 employee company owns New York Magazine, The Verge, SBNation and Eater. The company attained profitability in 2019, only to hit a brick wall in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic which has sparked a wholesale pullback in advertising budgets.

In April, Vox furloughed about 100 employees, or 9% of its staff.

Many of the furloughed workers who haven’t already taken buyouts will be laid off, according to a person familiar with the matter. These employees primarily work for parts of Vox that were especially hit hard by the Pandemic, such as SBNation, Curbed and the company’s events group. There may be some additional job cuts, the person said. -CNBC

Vox Media CEO Jim Bankoff admitted in an all-hands meeting last week that the company was struggling, though podcast revenue was 'bouncing back to pre-Covid levels,' according to CNBC's sources.

California couple plead guilty to paying $250,000 to get their daughter into USC in latest Varsity Blues college bribery plea deal

A couple pleaded guilty Tuesday to bribing their daughter´s way into the University of Southern California as part of the college admissions cheating scheme.

Diane Blake and Todd Blake from Ross, California, appeared before a Boston federal court judge via video conference because of the coronavirus pandemic and admitted to participating in the bribery scheme involving wealthy parents and elite universities across the country.

Under their plea deals, Diane Blake has agreed to serve six weeks in prison, while Todd Blake has agreed to serve four months.

The judge said he will decide whether to accept the deals after considering the pre-sentencing report, a document that contains background on defendants and helps guide sentencing decision.

Emails seeking comment were sent to attorneys for the Blakes.

35 Migrants Found in Tractor-Trailer at South Texas Checkpoint

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents disrupted a human smuggling attempt at an interior immigration checkpoint in South Texas on July 13. The interdiction led to the arrest of 35 migrants who were locked in a dangerously hot trailer.

Agents assigned to the U.S. Highway 83 immigration checkpoint on the evening of July 13 observed a white tractor-trailer approaching for inspection. During the initial interview, the driver and passenger admitted there were people locked inside the trailer, according to information obtained from Laredo Sector Border Patrol officials.

The agents opened the trailer and found 35 people locked inside the trailer with no means of escape in the event of a crash or abandonment by the human smugglers. Officials report the temperature inside the trailer reached a temperature in excess of 126 degrees Fahrenheit.

Agents interviewed and screened the 35 migrants and determined all were illegally present in the United States. Officials identified them as coming to the U.S. from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico.

The agents placed the driver and passenger, both U.S. citizens, under arrest. The subjects and illegal immigrants were turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations agents for further investigation.

Despite the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, smugglers continue to endanger the lives of individuals they exploit and the health and safety of our Nation. U.S. Border Patrol agents strive to prevent the flow of illegal immigration and slow the spread of COVID-19.

Laredo Sector officials report a spike in the number of illegal immigrants being smuggled in tractor-trailer rigs in recent months.

Earlier this month, agents recovered 66 migrants at the Interstate 35 checkpoint from five different countries locked inside a trailer, Breitbart Texas reported. An immigration interview identified the illegal immigrants as having come to the United States from Brazil, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico, officials reported.
