EYES ON

The verge put out this story, was it a warning to the cabal operators or a set up to blame Trump for pending "cyber attack' on twatter or ????

REPORT: Trump Secretly Authorized CIA To Carry Out Cyber Attacks On Iran, China, Russia And Others

A new report from Yahoo claims that a 2018 presidential finding from President Donald Trump authorized the Central Intelligence Agency to unilaterally carry out cyber attacks against a host of countries including Iran, China, Russia and North Korea.

The report, which quotes numerous current and former U.S. intelligence sources, says the previously secret authorization has resulted in more than a dozen destabilizing attacks against the aforementioned countries.

“The White House wanted a vehicle to strike back,” one intelligence official told Yahoo. “And this was the way to do it.”

The finding reportedly loosened Langley’s evidence restrictions for approving cyberattacks, but some officials expressed concern that doing so lowered the CIA’s standing to that of WikiLeaks. Other officials said that the lack of oversight and coordination could adversely impact both other U.S. intelligence agencies and those of our allies if they are operating within a network attacked by the CIA.

The report named two individuals responsible for fast tracking the CIA’s new cyber benefits: Current Secretary of State and former CIA Director Mike Pompeo and former National Security Adviser John Bolton.

Bolton wrote about the need “to scrap the Obama-era rules and replace them with a more agile, expeditious decision-making structure” in his recently released book, “The Room Where It Happened.” Yahoo noted that Bolton publicly celebrated in September 2018 Trump’s decision to ease Obama-era cyber regulations on the military, but the authorization specific to the CIA was kept secret by the administration.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the National Security Council, and multiple White House officials did not respond to Daily Caller’s inquiries by press time.

Portland Antifa Sets Up 'Occupied Zone' Outside Courthouse, Goes With Stupid Acronym

Two weeks after Seattle's 'Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone' was disbanded following three weeks of lawlessness resulting in two murders and four shootings, Portland's Antifa cell set up their own (not so) safe-space.

Using stolen construction equipment and kitchen appliances, 'PNW Youth Liberation Front' set up barricades outside the Portland federal courthouse, dubbing it the "Chinook Land Autonomous Territory," or CLAT.

Given the uninspired name cooked up by these overachievers, we offer a suggestion:

For starters, they could have more appropriately gone with the Chinook Unified National Territorial System, where unemployed degenerates can preach Chinook Region Autonomous Policies.

Perhaps you can add your own suggestions in the comments section below?

Suspect in Custody Following Fire Outside US Supreme Court

Multiple streets around the DC area where the Supreme Court is located have been blocked after a scene in which witnesses described a police cruiser being set on fire.

An individual has been taken into custody on Wednesday on suspicion of setting fire to a car just outside the Supreme Court.

A Supreme Court spokesperson stated that someone poured a flammable substance onto a Supreme Court police vehicle parked on Maryland Ave. near First Street, NE, near the steps of the SCOTUS building.

"An individual poured an accelerant on and set on fire an unmarked Supreme Court police vehicle parked on Maryland Ave. near First Street, NE. The car was totally burned and an adjacent Court vehicle was also damaged", the spokesperson said.

The suspect was burned while committing the act and was transported by ambulance to a hospital, after being taken into custody.

Police were seen treating the person on First St. NE, before they were placed into an ambulance covered in silver burn blankets after having their clothes removed.

Firefighters were spotted using water hoses to tackle flames coming from the white automobile. One of the officers hit the trunk, attempting to open it, before flames licked out from the closed trunk door.

Marissa Barrera, a policy aide for Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, was having lunch outside the Capitol building during the afternoon when she heard a loud bang and witnessed people fleeing.

Speaking to The Hill, she said it wasn't clear at first if the vehicle itself was on fire “and then the whole thing went up in flames", describing it as “this ball of fire” that exploded four times. She was included in the group of eye-witnesses who made statements to police.

The court was not in session at the time, nor is Congress in Washington at any point during this week.

The fire came before a scheduled press conference by US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and other House Democrats in the Capitol, just across the street from where the incident took place.

NYC Residential Sales Tumble 25% As COVID-19 Chaos Strikes In H1

NYC is slowly emerging from its COVID-19-induced shock, and as politicians clash over what NYC's classrooms will look like next fall (or whether they will reopen at all), thousands of New Yorkers are trying to ditch their city digs and move on out to the suburbs.

Various real estate brokers and market analysts compile data on all aspects of the NYC real estate market. And a recently released survey by Property Shark found that, YoY, sales volume in the city declined by 25%.

But the details of the report are more interesting. As one might expect given its cosmopolitan reputation, Manhattan was the hardest hit of all 5 boroughs. Queens saw its median sales price climb by 10%, while Brooklyn sales activity saw the smallest contraction.

As more signs of life begin to emerge, here's the rest of the report, courtesy of PropertyShark.

With NYC now in Phase Three of reopening and the rest of the state in Phase Four, the residential market’s performance is of heightened interest, after a tumultuous first half of the year.

The year started off promising increased sales activity, only for projections and expectations to be shattered by the uncertainty and upheaval of March, followed by an April marked by historical lows in sales activity and the strongest pricing trends of 2020 by that point.

Coronavirus has birthed a nation of liars

The conduct of the country's leaders during the pandemic has served to bolster an existing ethos of lying and scheming to survive, breeding a virus that we may find much harder to eradicate once the health crisis is over

The coronavirus is a new type of contagion, and every day a new article is published regarding the insidious damage it causes.

There are plenty of examples. According to the Health Ministry's newest regulations, someone can get tested for the virus only if they are showing symptoms of the disease.

Even if you come into close contact with a verified carrier and are not a close family member or showing symptoms, you don't get a test.

This new regulation also breeds lies. An acquaintance's son was at an event with a verified carrier - before he was verified, of course. It was clear to the son that he had been infected even though he had no symptoms.

So, he lied and said he had a cough and a fever, and his subsequent test revealed that he was an asymptomatic carrier.

In the time it took until he received his test results, his girlfriend also became infected. Now he is trying to inform others and stop the chain of infection he unknowingly created.

US Navy Advances Tech To Power Ships With Fuel Made From Seawater

The Navy’s quest to power its ships by converting seawater into fuel is one step nearer fruition.

University of Rochester chemical engineers, in collaboration with researchers at the Naval Research Laboratory, the University of Pittsburgh, and OxEon Energy, have demonstrated that a potassium-promoted molybdenum carbide catalyst efficiently and reliably converts carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide, a critical step in the process.

“This is the first demonstration that this type of molybdenum carbide catalyst can be used on an industrial scale,” says Marc Porosoff, assistant professor of chemical engineering at Rochester. In a paper in Energy & Environmental Science, the researchers describe an exhaustive series of experiments they conducted at molecular, laboratory and pilot scales to document the catalyst’s suitability for scale-up.

If Navy ships could create their own fuel from the seawater they travel through, they could remain in continuous operation. Other than a few nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and submarines, most Navy ships must periodically align themselves alongside tanker ships to replenish their fuel oil, which can be difficult in rough weather. In 2014, a Naval Research Laboratory team led by Heather Willauer announced it had used a catalytic converter to extract carbon dioxide and hydrogen from seawater and then converted the gases into liquid hydrocarbons at a 92 percent efficiency rate.

Since then the focus has been on increasing the efficiency of the process and scaling it up to produce fuel in sufficient quantities.

The carbon dioxide extracted from seawater is extremely difficult to convert directly into liquid hydrocarbons with existing methods. So, it is necessary to first convert carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide via the reverse water-gas shift (RWGS) reaction, which can then be converted into liquid hydrocarbons via Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS). Typically, catalysts for RWGS contain expensive precious metals and deactivate rapidly under reaction conditions. However, the potassium-modified molybdenum carbide catalyst is synthesized from low-cost components and did not show any signs of deactivation during continuous operation of the 10 day pilot-scale study.

That’s why this demonstration of molybdenum carbide catalyst is important.

Porosoff, who first began working on the project while serving as a postdoctoral research associate with Willauer’s team, discovered that adding potassium to a molybdenum carbide catalyst supported on a surface of gamma alumina could serve as a low-cost, stable, and highly selective catalyst for converting carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide during RWGS.

The potassium lowers the energy barrier associated with the RWGS reaction, while the gamma alumina – marked with grooves and pores, much like a sponge – helps ensure that the molybdenum carbide catalyst particles remain dispersed, maximizing the surface area available for reaction, Porosoff says.

To determine whether potassium-promoted molybdenum carbide might also be useful for capturing and converting carbon dioxide from power plants, the lab will conduct further experiments to test the catalyst’s stability when exposed to common contaminants found in flue gas such as mercury, sulfur, cadmium and chlorine.

Putin Has a Dream to Reset the World Order

Moscow has a way of signalling to the White House on critical issues from time to time through public statements calibrated to catch President Trump’s attention. It happens usually on Sundays such as on July 11 when the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov transmitted a complicated signal which pointedly called attention to the growing despondency in Moscow that the Russian-American relationship lies in tatters.

In this backdrop, US State Secretary Mike Pompeo’s phone call to Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Monday does not come as total surprise, where he discussed an idea that President Vladimir Putin had first articulated in a speech at the Fifth Holocaust Forum meeting in Jerusalem on January 23, 2020 — on the imperative need of choreographing a new world order, and the high responsibility of the permanent members of the UN Council to work towards it by holding a summit meeting by September.

Peskov articulated President Putin’s deep anguish over Moscow’s number one concern today in global politics which has profound implications for global balance and stability — namely, renewal of the New START (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) with the US, which is due to ‘expire’ in February.

Again, in the weekend, former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, a top Kremlin official at the moment, told Interfax news agency that Trump’s chance of winning the November presidential election in November “doesn’t look bright.” While doing so, Medvedev also conveyed a complicated message that it may still not be too late to salvage Trump’s political career.

He said, “The American people will decide. Trump has lots of problems, which affects his rating. He is pretty much lagging behind his main rival. Still, he is a creative person and it is quite possible that a miracle, which happened four years ago, might repeat itself. But for now, his chances do not look bright, considering the grave economic situations caused by coronavirus and racial unrest.”

Interestingly, this is more or less the Chinese assessment of US politics, too. Moscow apparently believes in “miracles” and hopes that Trump, “a creative person”, could still repeat the incredible feat in 2016 when he swept past Hillary Clinton. Whereas, Beijing too hasn’t written off Trump. The policy speech by State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the China-US colloquium last week before an audience that included Henry Kissinger contained flashes of an overture to Washington.

The Chinese commentaries have zeroed in on Trump’s mishandling of the Covid-19 pandemic as the genesis of his woes. The argument goes like this: Trump miscalculated that strong measures to check the pandemic might hurt the momentum of the US economy and, therefore, he deliberately played down the virus threat — but only to end up seeing to his dismay the virus spread spiralling out of control and ravaging the economy.

Beijing still thinks it can help Trump to turn the tide of the pandemic with the considerable expertise it has acquired, and bringing to the fore its vaccine research, etc. Trump himself would have realised by now that his Wuhan-virus tirade is no longer useful as a campaign plank.
