Close to home for me. I've known a work associate for 20 years. I live closer to more DNC/MSM morons than he does, so I've been prepared for a long time. Over the years he never felt in much danger, but a recent BLM protest not far from him finally hit the alarm button in his head, so he went on a hunt for his first handgun. All three of them tried out a number of options at a local range, and agreed that the Glock 19 (9mm) was their favorite, and made the most sense for their needs.
It took him two weeks to find one within a two hour drive! What he did was call up all the nearby shops asking to be put on a call list if one comes in. With cash in hand he would purchase it within 24 hours. That happened today. Now it's the BG check waiting game, but he still won't be able to find ammo. 20 rounds is all he could purchase. Everyone is out of anything larger than 22lr. I told him I had a few 100 rounds of 9mm to spare. It was like Christmas morning he was so happy!
