Why Sweden Succeeded In "Flattening The Curve" And New York Failed

Last week, The New York Times labeled Sweden’s approach to the pandemic a “cautionary tale” for the rest of the world, claiming it “yielded a surge of deaths without sparing its economy from damage.”

To be accurate, Sweden has outperformed many nations around the world with its “lighter touch” approach and was one of the few nations in Europe to see its economy grow in the first quarter of 2020.

The truth is, electric drives offer far superior performance when compared to ICEs.

HOWEVER, Batteries are shit and fuel cells are shit - All current storage methods for electric energy are utterly inferior to storing chemical energy as petrol or diesel, in basically each and every way that practically matters. Not to mention the sound of an electric car. I'd rather listen to my V8.

Not to mention that the (solar) energy contained within petrol/diesel/LPG was put in there by Mother Nature and doesn't need to be generated first. Also, a refinery literally runs on energy it extracts from the crude oil it refines.

Electric Current is literally Electrons moving. But to be precise, a rechargeable Battery stores the Energy from the charging Current in it's Anode/Cathode (and in some cases also involving the Electrolyte), modifying the materials through an electrochemical Process.

You should educate yourself before talking about things of which you obviously have no understanding. Lest someone calls you a moran here. Oops, too late.
