So, now I got an email at work that we are REQUIRED to wear a face mask at work (we mostly work at home but when in the office there are about 3-4 of us at a time).

The email was sent a second day in a row (obviously someone complained to HR that someone wasn't complying. ) This time it states it is MANDATORY and is REQUIRED BY LAW per our Governor.

Since when can the Governor just make laws like this? We are in Ohio, and it is now mandated in city I work in, but not a LAW!!

I have to tell them I can't wear it for medical reasons….and they better not fucking question that.

I have panic/anxiety disorder that is pretty much under control. Took meds for it for years, and now am ok for the most part.

I had a Dr appt yesterday with my pain mgmt Dr. I HAD to wear a stupid fucking mask. Well immediately I started to hyperventilate, so I was holding the mask from my face. My blood pressure reading was VERY high; it is usually normal.

When the Dr walked in, he asked me what was wrong, and I said the mask was making me claustrophobic and anxious. (he knows I used to suffer BAD from the panic attacks)

So instead of offering to give me a note or something, he tells me I need to go to a Shrink and get some meds for this because I am going to need to get used to the mask, because "they are going to be required for a LONG time"!!….

What the actual fuck. I like this Dr. Little Chinese guy….

Felt very sick by the time I left his office. This mask bullshit is NOT going to work…

Unfortunately, I have to go to him because he is pain management, and they are the only ones "allowed" to prescribe pain meds (& other meds I have to take for chronic condition).

Because of the government restrictions now on medications (thanks to the addicts) most Dr's are afraid to prescibe anything anymore.

It did really piss me off though that he wanted me to take Cymbalta (HELL NO) for my anxiety over wearing a fucking face muzzle. I like him, so I was a little shocked about that. Told me exactly where he stood right away…
