Foster Parent arrested (CA)

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office identified the woman as 29-year-old Ashley Michalek. She could face multiple felony charges, including sexual penetration with a child under the age of 14, according to a news release from sheriff's investigators.

The sheriff's Major Crimes Unit learned of possible misconduct between a foster parent and child on June 15. The potential victim had already been removed from the foster home because of the allegations, according to the release.
