Impoverished Christians living in China who are receiving aid from the state have been ordered to renounce their faith or have their welfare benefits revoked, according to reports from Bitter Winter, a non-profit organization dedicated to religious and human rights in China.

During a government meeting in the city of Linfen near the northern province of Shanxi, officials from all villages under the city's jurisdiction were instructed to remove crosses, religious symbols, and images from the homes of Christians who receive welfare payments and replace them with images of Chairman Mao Zedong and President Xi Jinping.

22 Nigerian Christians killed, thousands displaced after 3 days of raids from Fulani militants

Fulani militants killed at least 22 Christians and displaced an additional 2,000 following three bloody days of attacks in the Kaduna state of Nigeria. The violence occurred despite the presence of increased security and a perpetual curfew enacted following previous attacks.

The initial raid took place on July 10 in the farming community of Chibob. Nine villagers, most of whom were women and children, were killed, and seven more were injured as militants burned 20 homes and stole the villagers' food and animals. Bilkisu James detailed the horror that killed her husband and seven other people in her household.

"The Fulani came in and were shooting," James said. "They killed two of my children."

Paris airport terminal evacuated over bus fire

Terminal 4 of Paris’ Orly’s airport was evacuated on Saturday morning after a bus caught fire immediately outside the building, the newspaper Le Parisien reported.

Social media footage showed flames and smoke billowing from the bus as hundreds of travelers were arriving for their flights.

The driver of the bus, which transports passengers between Paris and the airport, made an emergency stop in front of Terminal 4 around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday after he detected the smell of smoke.

Firefighters and airport personnel arrived immediately and set up a security perimeter around the bus.

“First we saw smoke and the driver with a fire extinguisher, so we thought it was just a small fire,” an airline employee who was working at the time of the fire told French newspaper le Parisien

Google will cut advertising revenue from sites that go against the coronavirus ‘consensus’

Google has announced that it will ban advertisements from web pages that promote coronavirus conspiracy theories, or challenge the “authoritative scientific consensus” on the deadly virus.

Google has already banned adverts promoting phony coronavirus cures or touting “medical misinformation,” but the tech giant went one step further on Friday, telling CNBC that as of next month, it will ban publishers from displaying Google ads next to coronavirus conspiracy content. The firm added that if a site violates this policy sufficiently, the ban will be extended to the entire site.

Turkish security forces arrested a Daesh terror suspect of French origin wanted by Interpol, security sources said on Friday, Anadolu Agency reports.

After receiving information that a terrorist would enter Turkey from one of the conflict regions in Syria, Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and security forces conducted a joint operation in the borderline between Turkey and Syria, said the source, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

In the operation, a French national was arrested near Turkey’s southern Kilis province while he was trying to enter Turkey.

After identity checks, it was found that the terror suspect, identified by the initials O.G., was sought by an Interpol Red Notice.
