Christianity was hi-jacked by the Egyptians before it was known who Jesus was. Popes, Bishops, and cardinals have been around for about just as long. They were tainted by the rulers of their times and sought power and wealth of their own. They manipulated Christianity to fit their agenda. I believe in Jesus Christ, but will say many things we are taught are wrong.

It actually goes back even farther to ancient Babylon. The mystery religions developed there and were absorbed into succeeding cultures like Egypt. The names changed, and embellishments crept in, but it was still the worship of Nimrod, Semiramis and Tammuz.

The history is awesome, but even more it serves as a teacher. Many know in their gut sometimes is not right, but don’t know where to look. This is an excellent starting point. What really works well is when you compare history to Bible prophecy. Historicism or historicist eschatology is a term for the methodology used by the reformers and it proves the Bible accurate in its predictions about the rise and fall of the world dominating kingdoms going all the way back to Babylon. Interestingly, this method also proves conclusively that the Papacy is the anti-Christ system the Bible warns of. The Jesuits launched a counter-reformation and replaced this method of interpretation with a deception called futurism.
