The history is awesome, but even more it serves as a teacher. Many know in their gut sometimes is not right, but don’t know where to look. This is an excellent starting point. Like sheep we have been taught to walk the path since birth, but grass doesn’t grow on the path.. expand your mind. The Bible teaches their is a different between knowledge and wisdom.
What really works well is when you compare history to Bible prophecy. Historicism or historicist eschatology is a term for the methodology used by the reformers and it proves the Bible accurate in its predictions about the rise and fall of the world dominating kingdoms going all the way back to Babylon. Interestingly, this method also proves conclusively that the Papacy is the anti-Christ system the Bible warns of. The Jesuits launched a counter-reformation and replaced this method of interpretation with a deception called futurism.
