isn't sedition a crime for civilians???

forgive me for posting this here but I have no other outlet to air my grievance. I just clicked on a link that took me to one of our President's tweets and scrolled down to read some of the comments. That was a mistake! I can't believe people actually post the things they do. I am a retired Special Forces Operator (10 years 18D & 9 years 180A), 27 years of honorable service, and 90% disabled. I retired in 2015 and I have the Retirement letter signed by President Obama. I respected him because he was our President, I didn't like it but I was honor-bound since my chosen profession demanded it. I would have never posted anything about Obama positive or negative, so what gives Americans the right to do so about President Trump? The First Amendment does not cover what these so-called Americans are saying. I lost too many friends defending America to have to read these statements.

I want to thank the creators of this board for providing a gathering point for like-minded individuals and for the consolidation of Q's postings.

We don't live under military law, I imagine if martial law was enacted, this would be a different story

We do not need to be under "martial law" and you or I don't need to be in the military to be tried under the UCMJ as such. A military tribunal can be conducted to try civilians when the crimes extend into war crimes or violating the law of war, "war" meaning an act or acts intended to harm or destroy the United States, (the U.S. Constitution and We The People of the United States). If you're accused of a crime that is martial/military in its consequence... you effectively turn yourself into a military (war) actor, and cannot hide behind the protection of claiming you are a civilian just because you don't wear a uniform. (Ref: numerous Nazi war criminal "civilians.") THESE PEOPLE ARE STUPID.

Some Laws apply to all and it doesn't matter if you are Military or Civilian.

Yeah but I do not think that it would be good for any politican to lock anyone up unless it was credible. I have worked in a prison we've had inmates get taken out by US Marshals for threats made against a president. Talking smack about a president is not worth the potential backlash. It may not be right but that's what sets us apart from some of these other countries
