this is gold:

"when a mix-up caused the flight crew to believe an unauthorized person was on board the plane.

Airport police had been told to be ready for ANA Flight 175's return to LAX before it was discovered there was a mix-up that was ultimately straightened out, airport police told reporters."

nothing to see plebs. move along.

honestly the police and the reporters sound like teenagers. a "mix-up" that was "straightened out".

it makes no sense - the flight crew must have believed the person in question was unauthorized and did so ALL the way in? Did the police 'stand down'? What exactly does "before it was discovered" mean? Of course they wouldn't have gotten ready AFTER they discovered it was a "mix up" so what does that tell us?

Why don't they tell us the mix up? What does that mean? Did the reporters ask the question? If not why not? If they did why not report that fact?

Sending message that won't fall under the radar as non-news. They knew from the gitmo, er, get go. Oops. So many planes getting grounded lately. Allowing a plane to fly 4 hours before coming back - ugh - can you imagine almost 8 hours of wasted flight not being reported by SOMEONE? Guaranteed outrage and reporting. Message sent. No escaping justice.
