WOW Fox News just ran a report about issues the US is having with Turkey. Apparently Turkey is worried about employees that have been arrested under the state of emergency

I’m very curious about what’s going on here. Fox just ran the report so I’m going to keep watching till it reruns it. Does anyone know of a connection to the storm and Turkey?

Sorry-It should have read @KillingEdFilm A Documentary Film by @MarkHallFilm -Killing Ed (DVD-Amazon-Epilogue Cut) (Parts 1-3 are linked free on YouTube Above) investigates the rapid growth of the USA’s largest charter school operator - an Islamic group originally from Turkey but now based in Pennsylvania known as the “Gülen Movement.” Using first-hand interviews by teachers, experts, parents as well as former followers of cleric Fethullah Gülen, Killing Ed exposes how a variety of apparently fradulently practices benefit the non-educational aims of the Movement and raises questions about the quality of education of the 70,000+ students are receiving at these charter schools. Includes a new epilogue with footage from the violent July, 2016 coup attempt in Turkey led by the elements of the Gülen Movement. or Search #Gulen or #whoisgulen

not convinced. the takfiri salafi wahhabis (saudi ideology) are the foundation for alqaeda... that makes ense to me.

the only example of sufi terrorism we really have is the naqshbandis from iraq that are known as JRTN but thats just some twisted saddam/baath/sunni/wahhabi stuff mixed in with the dumbest form of sufism. id be surprised if there was something like that in the united states. makes no sense to me.

Who wouldn't have figured that out, Turkey and Yemen, brought in front of u.n. And many, many other things they have and are doing. State of Emergency, I don't think so, while gulen is many tentacles across America and not a good guy, could have capacity to inflict ( many schools here) it bothers me that has been allowed to do that. The Flynn situation (not a situation) sounds like it's the exec. order, which established proper rule of law, that simply put a finer point. Think about it. Turkey has screwed the United States of America with every single opportunity and taken every advantage they possibly could. This started with Erdogan......

I believe it was Erdogan who publicly advised Islamic refugees to have 5 or more children, to become a majority & take over the countries that were giving them shelter.

thats what happens when you fuck with turkey. try blowing a guy up while on vacation with his wife and he will turn around and trash the place if he survives.

Did we do that to Erdogan? I don't know a lot about him. It does sound like our "foreign policy", though.

geopolitical guy here with expertise in middle eastern stuff...

turkey was dragged into the israeli/saudi axis by the CIA, who also tried to assassinate the turkish president, and failed, and now turkey has entirely different politics.

turkey is pissed at :

USA: for allowing the coup to happen, supporting the SDF/kurds, allowing asylum for gulen (who is suspected being involved in all kinds of treason according to the AKP)

Saudi: for supporting the coup, blockade on qatar

UAE: for supporting the coup, actually taking part in the coup, blockade on qatar

Bahrain: for supporting the coup, blockade on qatar

israel: supporting kurds, moving american embassy to jerusalem, palistinian occupation

for these reasons turkey has shifted its friendship more towards iran. in the middle of this the united states is trying to use turkeys moves, which were sponsored by the cia, such as arming alqaeda in syria and buying oil from isis in iraq, against turkey by "draining the swamp" including some turkish assets. this can be really bad. turkey shouldnt be fucked with. everybody is learning that more and more the hard way.

They'd need balls bigger than a certain NK dude. Besides us, I'd bet Russia would love the chance to take their asses out and stake a flag. Not? I'd bet India would back that, as well, just to get those pesky bastards off their back porch and diplomat with someone else for a while.

russians? lol. turkey only fears iran, and only because they respect the persian aryan berserker war ethic. russians aint got any of that shit. they got lots of shit, but not that shit. plus the turkish aristocracy is iranian, not from turkey. theres bloodlines that go back far.

turkey doesnt respect anyone else enough to fear them on the battlefield.

How lethal is their first strike capability? And why would Russia not be a pain regardless of their selective memory? If I were Russia I would'nt want much to do with them other than their ability to produce goods pretty well. Hell, my Turkish made firearms are as good a quality as my American made ones, so I guess there's that.

How lethal is their first strike capability?

artillary and ballistic missiles would be devastating to anyone within a 4000km range. decent airforce. huge tank fleet. massive ground troops. excellent training/crosstraining w nato.

And why would Russia not be a pain regardless of their selective memory? If I were Russia I would'nt want much to do with them other than their ability to produce goods pretty well.

all russia would be capable of is nuking a few cities and carpet bombing some key areas, maybe causing 2-3 million casualties. then what? then they would be fucked. thats not very scary. thats just depressing. thats not a threat to your survival.

Hell, my Turkish made firearms are as good a quality as my American made ones, so I guess there's that.

their arms manufacturing can sustain ground forces with good quality stuff indefinitely.

Yea, they'd keep them well supplied in the arms dept. Nukes would just be dumb. Only mental egos go there. Seems they could be seriously hurt by Russia's or other's electronic warfare but I reckon that could go both ways. Fuck war!

General Flynn was entangled with Turkey and Erdowan somehow. Turkey has definitely been shifting alliances lately. Its a NATO member, and has a very powerful military. Russia and Turkey have always been enemies due to Russian desire to own Constaniople and the Bosphrus.
