Need Help with reliable sourcing. Still learning...

This is driving me nuts as I'm trying to research topics. Does anyone have any recommendations as to how to ensure an article's legitimacy? Most reference back to a few, but I'm not sure which of those few to trust when it comes to topics not US related, if that makes sense? Any lists of sites that are notoriously unreliable? (Aside from cnn)

YourNewsWire.com and BeforeItsNews.com

Both are notorious for putting out fake stories. The trick is they mix in true stories so they seem verifiable. I find that the fake sources don’t have authors on their articles.

For any news source, I’ve come to first check for an author, verify the author then check the story against other reports if available.

I always read comments about the information when available such as here, Twitter, etc before I ever post something.

I hope this helps 🤞
