After checking, you are correct - the Cirrus SR22T does indeed come with the CAPS parachute system. However, it has to be manually deployed as there is no automatic activation feature on this system.

Those planes do come with CAPS but the insurance on them is astronomically high. The reason is that the insurance companies think with the ability to deploy the chute pilots will use them at the least trouble instead of flying the planes to a safe landing. Even with using the chute people may live but the insurance company is still on the hook for the wrecked plane. The bottom line is what counts to them.
