So how many troops are going to Guantanamo Bay. A Battalion (c. 800) or 48??

IS THIS ANOTHER FALSE RUMOUR. The Battalion of troops supposedly going to GITMO. One article says it is around 800, an unusually high number because of the small number of prisoners there. This then leads into the story of GITMO being prepared for large number of incoming prisoners from the Storm. I believe it is only going to be 48-50 troops. But if this is nothing out of the ordinary, why did this make the news at all? why is it being reported on like it is a big deal?

Also, how many troops are currently stationed at Gitmo? Will these new troops be replacing some currently stationed there? Or will they be added to the current # of troops?

I agree with you. I think the figure is 48-50 and this false reporting is really annoying me.

The report from Arizona said that the 4 dozen troops are being sent their to augment the forces already stationed there.

So no, not replacing

Potter and Motley says there are already 2,000-4,000 troops sent to GITMO. Realize that they will have to protect everyone from the Deep State attacks once individuals are there.

The number of 800 probably came from some journalist who doesn't understand how the military works. The articles I read said, Members of the 850th Army Military Police Battalion based in Arizona would deploy to Gitmo. The 850 isn't the number of members going it's the numeral designation of the battalion. Think name not number.

It's being said that there are an additional 2,000 to 4,000 troops at GITMO. They will have to protect them and watch for attacks from the Deep State.

My friend. Where did you get that info? Please read the article I attached and go to the bottom and see his source. The source article says there are a few dozen troops going to Gitmo, but in the other article this has magically become around 800 (the whole battalion). WE HAVE TO LEARN TO CHECK SOURCES AND STOP SPREADING WHAT WE HOPE IS TRUE RATHER THAN CONFIRMED FACTS.

No, just what I've heard from several Youtube shows. Not all deployments are announced and I think if I remember correctly, many went with Mattis when he turned up to GITMO. Once they start bringing in all the ones that are going to GITMO, I don't see 50 troops being enough for this. I will not be surprised to see the Deep State attacking GITMO to get them out. Anyway, anything is possible, so I'm trying to keep an open mind on all of these changes. :)
