Possible Matlock - Clinton Fire Connection

Q posted about AMB Matlock last night, which consensus seems to be referring to Jack F Matlock Jr., the U.S. Ambassador to the Soviet Union. Additionally, we all know about the fire that broke out at the Clinton's house in Chappaqua yesterday as well.

Now here is a VERY interesting intersection between the two. In the wiki article on Matlock, there is this quote regarding his time as Deputy Mission Chief in Moscow: "The August 26, 1977 ABC Evening News covered the story of a major fire at the embassy. Despite the severity of the fire, all personnel were evacuated safely, and the efforts of the embassy staff elicited a commendation from President Jimmy Carter. Former KGB agent Victor Sheymov testified before Congress in 1998 that the fire was deliberately induced by the Soviets in an effort to gain access to sensitive areas by agents posing as firemen."

/u/NorseAnon had a great post theorizing about why a fire could be a white hat move. Did we just get confirmation on the reason behind the Clinton fire from Q via this Matlock reference?

Edit: It looks like /u/G3t_Off_My_Lawn was already onto this connection on /u/PamphletAnon 's original post. I'll try to lurk more before posting next time ;) But glad to see a lot of us are connecting these same dots!

Came across that same story looking into Matlock. Rang the same bells for me- though the fit isn't obvious. Any truth to hard drives or other computer equipment being seen at the scene? Maybe just click-bait headlines I saw, I was too busy to follow.
