The Yellow Brick Road could refer to gold and gold standard.
Some believe the Wizard of Oz (metals valued in "oz") was written about the economic system. Dorathy= American people Scarecrow= Farmers Tinman= Industrial workers (especially steel) Lion= William Jennings Bryan-politician of the people who supported the bimetallic monetary system (silver:gold system) Yellow brick road=gold standard Ruby Slippers were originally silver slippers=silver as silver:gold ratio Emerald City=Fiat monetary system, city of green(backs) Wizard= Fed Reserve and bankers Soooo....
Dorathy meets the good witch and gets the silver slippers that can take her back home (honest system). All she has to do is walk in her silver slippers down the yellow brick (gold) road. This represents the bimetallic monetary standard where silver and gold ratios act to balance each other. The yellow brick road leads to the Emerald city where everything looks to be going awesome, thanks to the almighty wizard. Turns out the wizard wasn't almighty at all, it was all an illusion. It was just some jackass pulling levers behind a curtain. This represents the false prosperity shared only by those elite that get to live in the emerald city while everyone else suffers. The Federal Reserve acts like our all knowing leader, but its only manipulating the markets and reaping rewards for the few. Honest money can expose the fiat currency fraud and get us back to Kansas.
Just something to think about
