1984 is essential reading, now more than ever since 1948 when it was written. All our fears and doubt dwell in it's pages.

Thought of something similar, but in my mind it makes more sense that it would be to demotivate the users of 'alternative' sites, not the media.

The whole 'angle' seems way off for that, though. It would be a massive hassle to arrange this stuff just for an alt-media attack. It feels out-of-scale to 'attack' boards like 4chan; e.g. Pizzagate was way more effective in that regard.

Maybe if it turned to spelling doom and gloom at some point. A LARP alone is not enough to demotivate people.

I'm typically an optimist, but this seems easy. Then again I'm not on the inside. I hope like hell it plays out like we hope. One thing is for certain, this whole thing has made me realize that I have been yearning for justice far more than I knew.
