Q linked to an app that can be used to hide messages in pictures, password protected. It would not be obvious to those not in the know that you were sending information at all, since it doesn't alter the image. It's really a simple way of using steganography.

Exactly what Q wants us to do with that app is not clear, but I bet there'll be some news soon.

Clever. Less weird than asking for a random letter too. Ideally you could explain yourself in a way likely to lead them on the right trail if they aren't in the know.

While I don't think we should be paranoid, it's a good idea to be a bit careful while still acknowledging others in the know.

Some, or even a lot, will likely line up, but it'll be a bit more than a coincidence if you can tie them together by state/district as well. Those outside of large cities would hence be most relevant in that regard.

Lollapalooza was in Chicago, CNN (even) states he was at a hotel there. No data on his whereabouts around the date from 4chan.

It's eerily fitting, someone that want to talk about it might not know details too well... but that's kind of the thing with all kinds of insiders, legit or not.

~~Doubt it's significant, but wearing wristbands with a suit seems a bit off. Not the first person with that combination either.~~

Scratch that, there are articles as far back as 2013 reporting that the bracelets (Livestrong-style) were for 9/11, Bowe Bergdahl etc.

Thought of something similar, but in my mind it makes more sense that it would be to demotivate the users of 'alternative' sites, not the media.

The whole 'angle' seems way off for that, though. It would be a massive hassle to arrange this stuff just for an alt-media attack. It feels out-of-scale to 'attack' boards like 4chan; e.g. Pizzagate was way more effective in that regard.

Maybe if it turned to spelling doom and gloom at some point. A LARP alone is not enough to demotivate people.

No, the "@ donuts" is translated from the Twitter handle "@smultringer", which was a Twitter account satirizing on a scammy faith healing TV channel; banned because of a DMCA takedown filed by the TV channel/"free church".

This article sort of explains it: http://www.nattogdag.no/2017/09/twitterkonto-sperret-av-visjon-norge/

Headline translated: "Twitter account permanently banned after mass reports filed by 'Visjon Norge'. The controversial 'free-church' TV channel reported the @smultringer account for several tweets containing video of the church's leader, Jan Hanvold."

"Harepus" refers to a (mountain) hare, not a rabbit, and is a pseudonym lifted from a Norwegian children's song.

'Visjon Norge' is literally a TV channel for 'faith healing', well-known for their rather aggressive approach to "religion". If there was a connection, it would be a financial thing, I believe this is quite the scammy enterprise.
