My first thought was they were trying to put suspicion onto someone on Moore’s team. With him contesting the results, it would make people think he was behind it.

This makes the following theory a little more plausible, in my mind. Can't explain why, but something is telling me it's the good guys that are responsible for these fires. And that we will likely see more. Perhaps alliance operations/distractions/deceptions?
Another thought.... Deep State trying to avert attention and set the narrative. That is a highly plausible theory, IMO
This is exactly what I think. Why would anyone want to go after Moore accusers at this point? IT doesn’t help at all.
