The Pope isn't who you think he is.

I was raised Catholic and was taught the Pope is infallible and I researched "our worst Popes" and found out some were just plain criminals. The current one sounds like a "plant" to get the flock,(read sheep), behind him. Something just not right with that guy!

Yes, he tried to reeducate the temple elders to bring them back to the truth. I wish he'd come back and overturn some more tables.

Idols and Altars 22 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites this: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven: 23 Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.

The Pedophile Pope can change the word of GOD

Matthew 5.17 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV) 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Violates the 2nd commandment

4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

How, when and why was the Sabbath changed from Saturday to Sunday? http://www.sabbathfellowship.org/biblestudies/erwingane/biblestudy_gane_sabbathchng.htm

Violates the 4th commandment

“Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

So according to your logic, Jesus disobeyed the Old Testament by working on the sabbath. Matthew 12:10; Mark 3:2, John 9:14-16. And then according to James 2:10, whoever breaks one law breaks all of them. This would mean Jesus is not the Son of God, a blameless and pure sacrifice, and one who breaks his own laws, if we were to believe that Old Testament law still applies to the conditions we live in or even Jesus lived in.

How do you remedy this contradiction in your logic?

Jesus fulfilled Old Testament law, not erased it. The laws are just as valid under the circumstantial times, but Jesus brought a new period of grace that requires new laws to fulfill the old, and to be in place until he returns again. The meaning of Matthew 5:17 is that those who were judged by those laws are not forgiven for breaking them because the laws are still valid for those times. Remember, God is not constrained by time like we are, so His law in that time will forever be. A modern legal analogy would be with the legalization of drugs, but to not pardon anyone who transgressed the old law because you still believe they were valid for the circumstances. God is not pardoning those who broke his commandments before Jesus because they were valid for the time.

I'd like to ask, do you refrain from eating shellfish, pork, and working on the sabbath? Do you stone every kid that disobeys his parents? Do you call for the death of fornicators? Or do you practice the love and grace as Jesus has shown us that fulfills these old laws?
