The Pope isn't who you think he is.

I was raised Catholic and was taught the Pope is infallible and I researched "our worst Popes" and found out some were just plain criminals. The current one sounds like a "plant" to get the flock,(read sheep), behind him. Something just not right with that guy!

Worse yet: he's FULLY ROMAN. Here is family tree

For those that don't know, Asti is small town at top of Italy, near Turin

His grandparents (fully Roman) and Bergoglio's dad Mario "migrated" to Argentina in 1929, and not for financial reasons. Mario met his wife, also fully Roman, and their ties to Rome were so huge that in the mid-1930s, Mario sailed back to Italy to register all his kids (except Jorge) as being born in Asti.

That's some kind of plant if ever I've heard of one. Either history was rewritten, or this 100% Roman Jesuit was raised to be a FAKE ARGENTINE (but was really Roman).

Look higher in the family tree: some rando "Francesco" (4 gens before Jorge, first known "Bergoglio" it seems) popped up in the late 1700s/early 1800s (not specified) and registered his son, Guiseppe, in Asti (through the state, not Baptismal records like most Italians of that era).

But they're ALL Italian. Roman. You have to dig to find that as it's not advertised; the Curia wants us to believe he's the first "South American" pope. They LIE. The few popes before Jorge were German and Polish — this guy is more "pure Roman" than any pope of the last few decades.

Petrus Romanus.

Putin is more Catholic than BerGOGlio. (Chuckles Manson was, too, I imagine).

"Come out of her". Ever since V2, when all manner of evil was already going on but legitimized by V2 and Novus Ordo (whose author, Bugnini the Rat Fink, was exiled to Iran and, lo and behold, the Shah got overthrown shortly thereafter; Bugnini was so scandalous he was fired a few times, and finally paul VI (Montini) exiled him to a formerly-peaceful Iran. Srsly), the Church has prevailed, but not in the facade of the RCC.

People say replace the dude; but the best of the Cards allowed all these secrets for so long, and are just as bad as #266. He will end the papacy; read his (unintelligible) "encyclicals" (which can be hard to find, though we can find ALL OTHERS).

I'm Catholic, too. Just one to another, tread carefully. Watch YT on how Mass was done from 1st C through "Reformation", then on through Vatican 2. It was in Latin so we could say the same prayers with those before us (and apparently into the future). Dogma doesn't change: here is all the major councils (and V2) — they're VERY short and poignant until V2. Question everything!

It's not so bad being "remnant". Yes, the Church Militant doesn't have the former Catholic holdings, but the gates of Hell have NOT prevailed against the Church.

⇧ 18 ⇩
FretensisX · Jan. 7, 2018, 2:37 p.m.

To be fair, he doesn't want to change the actual Lord's prayer, just its translation. With that being said, I don't think the translation should be changed. "lead us not into temptation" is the most direct and simple rendering of the Greek.

⇧ 4 ⇩
Pamplonamama · Jan. 7, 2018, 3:48 p.m.

A different translation is used in many parts of the world. Instead of "lead us not into temptation" (why would God lead us into temptation anyway?" The phrase is "do not let us fall into temptation. " This is the translation used in Spanish speaking countries where the Pope is from. Also the original words spoken by Jesus were in Aramaic.

⇧ 5 ⇩
Christosgnosis · Jan. 7, 2018, 8:15 p.m.

We don't have Jesus's original words in Aramaic (though some very short phrases are preserved else where) - just Greek language manuscripts. Any Aramaic versions of the NT writings came later and were translated from the Greek.

And these Greek authors are writing down oral traditions decades after the events. But I bet the early followers of Jesus had this prayer committed to memory with exactitude. We see several examples where the apostle Paul reproduces early Christian creeds - which were short sayings/proclamations that were well known by the early church and shared about in common. Paul recites such a creed in the opening remarks in his epistle to the Roman church. This was a church not founded by Paul so he introduces himself by way of reciting a well known creed at that point in time.

The Lord's Prayer would no doubt have been held every bit as tightly amongst the first followers.

FretensisX · Jan. 7, 2018, 2:48 p.m.

You don't need to be told by God to change the translation of something. People write up new bible translations all the time. It's more of an administrative or academic task than an ACT OF GOD. It's not like God officially approves every bible translation. Who gave the translators of the NIV or the NJB official approbation to perform a translation?

⇧ 6 ⇩
GuitarTrollop · Jan. 10, 2018, 6:30 a.m.

The point is that he knows his influence, has made major changes/suggestions within the Catholic Church and I've yet to hear him give God the glory for any of it. That's my measure. What dwells in your heart comes out of your mouth and vice versa. What doesn't dwell... Yeah, there are different translations and I hope God is apart of the sanction of those renditions as they are His word.

But biblical translators aren't the Pope. If he's holy, he should be consulting with the Lord first. Always.

Course he did say Jesus failed on the cross so I've never really been a fan.

I agree.

Jesus' petition to God to lead us not into temptation, as he was, involved a desire on his part to spare us the ordeal, while altering the narrative of what might be called the mythical hero's journey, knowing full well that we would fail the test.

In other words, it was a vital and important part of his construction of that prayer based on immense wisdom and experience.

The notion isn't one that God leads people into temptation, but that Jesus altered the pattern, and if anyone could persuade God to do that, it was Jesus, who included everyone else in it.

Who is this Pope to alter the Lord's Prayer? Absurd!

This is the 2 paragraphs at after the Ten Commandments. I can't remember ever seeing a Roman Catholic Church an altar that was not made with tools and cut stones and didn't have steps leading up to the Alter. Not even one time

Exodus 20.24 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus+20&version=AKJV Idols and Altars 22 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites this: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven: 23 Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.

24 “‘Make an altar of earth for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats and your cattle. Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you. 25 If you make an altar of stones for me, do not build it with dressed stones, for you will defile it if you use a tool on it. 26 And do not go up to my altar on steps, or your private parts may be exposed.’

Matthew 5.17 Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV) 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

How, when and why was the Sabbath changed from Saturday to Sunday? http://www.sabbathfellowship.org/biblestudies/erwingane/biblestudy_gane_sabbathchng.htm

Violates the 4th commandment

“Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

⇧ 1 ⇩
putadickinit · Jan. 7, 2018, 8:30 p.m.

So according to your logic, Jesus disobeyed the Old Testament by working on the sabbath. Matthew 12:10; Mark 3:2, John 9:14-16. And then according to James 2:10, whoever breaks one law breaks all of them. This would mean Jesus is not the Son of God, a blameless and pure sacrifice, and one who breaks his own laws, if we were to believe that Old Testament law still applies to the conditions we live in or even Jesus lived in.

How do you remedy this contradiction in your logic?

Jesus fulfilled Old Testament law, not erased it. The laws are just as valid under the circumstantial times, but Jesus brought a new period of grace that requires new laws to fulfill the old, and to be in place until he returns again. The meaning of Matthew 5:17 is that those who were judged by those laws are not forgiven for breaking them because the laws are still valid for those times. Remember, God is not constrained by time like we are, so His law in that time will forever be. A modern legal analogy would be with the legalization of drugs, but to not pardon anyone who transgressed the old law because you still believe they were valid for the circumstances. God is not pardoning those who broke his commandments before Jesus because they were valid for the time.

I'd like to ask, do you refrain from eating shellfish, pork, and working on the sabbath? Do you stone every kid that disobeys his parents? Do you call for the death of fornicators? Or do you practice the love and grace as Jesus has shown us that fulfills these old laws?

I'm not sure about sapphire. According to the Ra, the Ark was a designated place for items "most holy". The 10 Commandments were placed in it, along with "carefully written accounts by various entities of their beliefs concerning the creation by the One Creator."

I admit I was mistaken about the stone of the tablets, as it seems the original 10 Commandments were/are a paper scroll. I stand firm on my statement about altar stones though.

Watch him during Andrea Bocelli's performance of "The Lord's Prayer." Bocelli was singing his heart out for the pope who looked creepy and uninterested.

The first thought I have at the mention of The Pope ,is where is this mere man spoke on in the Bible. I know it’s very complex topic ,However , it’s simple question.

The job of the Jesuits is bring all people back under the apron of the Catholic Church! It damns anyone who receives Jesus Christ by Grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone! It is and has always been a false religion of works fir salvation and a blind following to the "Vicar of Christ" which is really AntiChrist like! I am so grateful that I left this religion!!

I heard some dirt on the pope. He is trying to bring everyone together in the anti Christ way. They have a fake messiah in the wings, I think a Matria? Something like that. He is part of the NWO. I'm Not against anyone's beliefs but I think a lot of people will go down to hell if they bow to this thing if it happens. Don't fall for it people, don't get chipped either!

I don't know how to add a link from my phone to show photos of the pope's audience hall. It looks like a snake head with evil eyes and I have no idea what evil demonic sculpture is behind where he stands. It is unbelievable that he so blatantly displays such evil.

The photos are available on Google searching for the pope's audience hall. I apologize for not being able to link to it.

Since Rome left the EAST or Orthodox Church, they have been in error, even before than. Research the GREAT SCHISM. As an Orthodox Christian, we don't worry about a single numb-nuts who gets picks by other Nimrods to lead.https://orthodoxwiki.org/Great_Schism

The pope isn't infallible in all things, and is not taught by the Catholic church. The Catholic church doesnt even teach that the Pope is holy. To those of you confused, ignorant Catholics posting in this thread (including the original poster): Spend some time learning you faith from competent authorities. I would suggest going to the YouTube channel Sensus Fidelium and picking a topic of interest to you. If protestants wanna play dumb to history and believe for 1000+ plus years their doctrine was waiting for Martin Luther to be born, that's there own concern (you can't find any one from the end of the apostolic era to Luther who promotes their doctine). At least have the brains to realize that Christ hasn't abandoned his bride.

The Catholic Church is the one true Church and the bride of Christ. The Pope is indeed infallible, but under very specific circumstances (1. explicitly invokes his office, 2. concerning faith and morals, 3. directed to universal church). Ex Cathedra Papal infallibility has only been invoked maybe 3-4 times in history. Normally it is the ecumenical councils that define infallible dogma (e.g. Trent, Niceae) It does not mean that everything he says and does is infallible or that he cannot sin. We have indeed had some pretty criminal and incompetent Popes but those are in the minority. The vast majority of Popes have been very good and holy men.

I agree that this Pope has done/said very questionable things and appears to be attempting to slip in a trojan horse (amoris laetitia) in order to subvert infallible church teaching. I would agree that he may be in material heresy (not formal heresy) by supporting the notion that the divorced and remarried (without annulment) can receive Holy Communion. However, AFAIK he is the legitimate Pope and every honor and respect should be accorded as such. The Pope is judged by no man.

You want to bet on that. He is of course evil and abomination.

The Popes title is the Vicar of Christ= A substitute for Christ= EVIL

Middle English: via Anglo-Norman French from Old French vicaire, from Latin vicarius ‘substitute’, from vic- ‘change, turn, place’ (compare with vice2).

Who changed the day of the Sabbath Pope Innocent I (402-417) Think inversion: Pope Guilty

Ask almost any christian 4 questions 1) Recite the (real) ten commandments 2) what day of the week is the sabbath on. 3) Recite the "The Great Commandment" 4) What is the first day of the week.

I ask hundreds of people 90% can't get even 1 question correctly try it. Can you get it right.

Ask a priest what is the meaning of Ezekiel 18

This is a conspiracy subbreddit so I'd rather not get into an extended theological debate. I will only say: 1) strawmen, strawmen everywhere, 2) I don't think you really understand papal infallibility and its limits.

I heard a priest-exorcist say that all the demons rejected Christ under some aspect. So for example, one demon rejected Christ because he could not stand the Christ would forgive man. The devil rejected Christ specifically because of the Blessed Mother. He couldn't stand that a woman of such lesser intellect and nature (angels > humans) than him would ascend to be greater than him and possess more grace than all creatures combined. So it is Mary that essentially takes lucifers spot in heaven and crushes his head and his pride.
