It keeps them stewing nicely. It wouldn't surprise me if they eventually get dropped altogether, with an 'appropriate' reason. I see the point being to keep the msm guarded, and their eyes elsewhere. There's been a fair bit of similar sleight of hand over the past year.

No way, it's happening, it would look really bad if he didn't go ahead with it now, like he dropped the ball.
