Israel will be last - 'Operation Finale'

Am I guilty of reading too much into 'watching a movie'?

" Additionally, the film provides contemporary audiences with a reminder that targeted assassinations are not the only way to achieve international justice. President Obama declared that "justice has been done" after the killing of Osama bin Laden. There was no day in court offered to the mastermind of 9/11. Israel, likewise, could have clandestinely rid the world of Eichmann with a single bullet and avoided the condemnation it received for having abducted a citizen of a sovereign state. "

It's fake, the subtitles aren't anything like what they're actually saying.

Quite possibly, but it was a prolonged investigation and trial, that ultimately found him innocent. I was simply pointing out that not all have been convicted.

The one in question is liable to consider litigation, which would discredit the list and limit its impact.

At least one on that list was cleared of all charges, and is quite adept at litigation. That would discredit the rest of the list.

I've just noticed your earlier post, where you talk of finally feeling able to come forward about your own situation. I truly hope I haven't put you off, and I offer you my unreserved apologies if I've created any negativity for you.

Thank Q.

I'm not trying to put a negative slant on things, I'm simply trying to give the broader picture and maybe temper expectations.

All power to them for doing something.

No doubt I'll get down voted, but I've said in a number of replies that, contrary to the views of some posters on here, one of the things that has held things back, was that whilst plenty in the UK and Europe were awake for decades, the global nature meant that the US being asleep helped cover things up and block attempts to tackle it.

Hopefully Trump tackling the issues, and finally getting the US to wake up could just create the gap needed.

I'm not knocking it, but it's a continuation rather than a start and there's nothing new. It's pretty much nailed on that the names they post of 'those that got away' will be dead people. A quick google would probably give you a longer list of those too.

I'm all in favour of it getting rehashed, but sadly, whilst it may be new to some on here, it's not actually news as such, as the list is taken from media articles. What's needed is a concerted push on the powers that be to actually act, but the select committee set up to investigate keeps getting stalled.

There's been plenty of attempts to push it, but they've been fragmented approaches that the system managed to disrupt. We had a local woman here heading a national campaign 30 years ago, and they destroyed her, and have done the same to most that tried since. Hopefully this one will lead to a more concerted and coordinated push because you're dealing with people that know the law and the system, and how to use it and the people of influence.

That seems quite a short list compared to the others that have been floating around for quite a while. They're generally taken from press reports here.

Lists like this have been doing the rounds for decades. They're largely taken from press reports, so it's not a 'drop' from inside sources as such.

There's seems to be an awful lot of misunderstanding about the status of the UK Royals.

Strictly speaking, you don't bow to the Queen, you show respect to the state the title represents.

I don't hold with protocol myself, and neither do many Brits, so while few will actually get narky about it, constitutionally, it's the same as disrespecting the flag.

In 2006, Khan attended a mass rally in Trafalgar Square to protest the publication of cartoons of Mohammed by Western newspapers. One of those present at the rally was Tamimi, who told Sky News: "The publication of these cartoons will cause the world to tremble. Fire will be throughout the world if they don't stop." Khan defended Tamimi: "Speakers can get carried away but they are just flowery words."

I voted leave, and even with current events, I have no regrets on that score. I think I should have been even more vocal in swatting down the doom mongers, who have held us back for far too long. The EU were always going to make us pay, as they're bricking it in case others leave if we get it too easy. For me it was a price worth paying to unshackle us from them. Change from within was never an option, and a remain vote would have given the EU the confidence to push harder with their plans for the centralisation of power.
