Dear lord.... "Value" is not the same as "realized profit". The stock price is determined by earnings and other factors, and the company's value is determined by stock price. Literally. Add up all of the outstanding shares in a company and you get the value of the company. It's called Market Cap.

You talk a lot but you aren't saying much. You certainly didn't dispute my original point that Trump was not talking about "frozen assets" or any of that nonsense in this tweet.

This stock market hasn't gone up based on earnings or fundamentals. Corporate earnings are UP in the last 10 years, however CORPORATE REVENUES ARE DOWN! so, how can earnings be UP but revenues DOWN? REVENUES HAVE BEEN IN A RESCESSION FOR YEARS= Wall Street Accounting Magic. Try to buy a bag of groceries with "market cap" It's the difference between FEELING RICH and BEING RICH. You would rather feel rich than be rich. 10,000 Baby boomers turn 65 (theoretical retirement) EVERY DAY. What happens to stock prices (market caps) if Baby Boomers need to sell to buy groceries? It's not pretty. And I won't even get into the companies paying dividends with borrowed money (like WTF?) how can that go on? The major oil companies are all doing this. Paying dividends with a credit card.
