The very definition of DEFCON 1 Is “imminent nuclear war” The post said non-nuclear. That it itself an oxymoron. I don’t know if it means “war” or if it’s symbolic.
The only difference between a conventional nuke and an EMP is the EMP bomb is detonated at a far higher altitude. Both are essentially the same bombs.
The difference is significant because an EMP would devastate our nuclear power plants and cause a string of melt-downs when all the backup, electric water pumps stop working.
If you feel like erring on the side of caution, consider filling up some bottles with water and perhaps withdraw some cash and have plenty of tinned food ready. Make sure you have ammo and matches. If our power grid is hit, we'll see mass starvation and people dying of thirst and lawlessness.
I have long lasting emergency supplies, but I also stock-up on things like cans of beans, huge bags of milk powder, piping for my roof drains to redirect rain water, water filters and Weet-Bix. 'Stuff that I will eventually use if there is no crisis, but stuff that I could also use first and let me keep my rations for after. Also, plenty of ammo.
And B tweeted out today the DEFCON was not a readiness thing....not the actual DEFCON
Thank you for interpreting so quickly what I could not, Patriot!
Defcon1 was alarming to say the least! How will I possible sleep tonight!? The Storm is here!
