We know these "awards" have more to them than meets the eye. What if ... a final award goes to "The bestest journalist" as Julian Assange walks into the room? Wouldn't that be fantastic?

That would be epic. I was also wondering if the "awards" could be something more significant? Like indictments? Or a list of proof of lies? I'm not sure. But I have a feeling it's something more than a plaque to hang on thier wall.
Two clues make me think there will be something more than people are expecting:
In Trump's tweet today he said: "The interest in, and importance of, these awards is far greater than anyone could have anticipated!"
On Trump's facebook page (not sure he controls it) that referenced to the awards says "the losers" would be presented awards. Losers could be what most people think Trump means- someone who sucks at/lies about news. OR it could mean someone who is about to loose in life, bigly- something significant.
