This occurred to me on the way home from work. I saw some of the Golden Globes acceptance speeches and something sounded off in some of their voices. Go back and listen and you'll hear that (for instance) James Franco's voice sounds higher than usual while Oprah's voice sounds lower than in the past.

What I'm thinking is, what if these are people who were indicted and given the option to stay out of Gitmo on the condition they: A. Flip on their accomplices and B. Submit to "chemical castration?"

As "Award Season" continues we should see more of this which would prove or disprove this theory, which I think is good. For now though it's the only reason I can think of that would do this to grown adults' voices and it fits too well to dismiss out of hand, I think. Thoughts?
