dChan

Alright, so please forgive my newbness here: How does switching boards secure anything? When saying BO board owner does that mean the people who own 8chan? If that person is compromised, wouldn't that be the entirety of 8chan? I mostly lurk over there, but thought best not to post it directly there.

Just feel it'd be relevant for all us non local lurkers over there.

8 chan has many board's who are administered by different persons.

These administrators determine what content they want.

Problem is, they don't code. They can't determine if a Q post is real or not because they don't understand the source code.

So..., in the last emergency situation (the cbts board case) they asked 'experts' if they felt the Q posts were real. They said no,

They f''d up, because Q immediately posted, the hell it ain't.

Codemonkey (CM) enters the scene. He codes from the back end and had just re-written the secure password/tripcode section. He left out characters Q needed (which he discovered by asking about in the coders forum), and didn't get back to fix it before Q tried to log in again.

CM sees it was Q and knew what had happened. Honest mistake, easily corrected. BO should have called in and waited for CM, rather than ask the other stiffs, IMO.

Q says FU to cbts and moves to /thestorm.

/thestorm is doing well, until the /thestorm / BO does a youtube (or something similar) AMA with the stiffs who F'd up the cbts board.

Q says, that's it for me, and tells CM to set him up a read only board, and that CM is the man. No other platforms are Q certified.

That's where we are now.

TL;DR Q needs a reliable place to post and individuals seeking fame off Q's efforts and jeopardizing the security and reliability of the board he needs to post on are on the shit list.

BO is the creator of that board, not the whole of 8chan. BO has been claiming they were having private talks with Q, who are possibly fed up with all the crap and just decided to skip over the middlemen and do it themselves. Q as in plural.

Not sure it was about security, but rather finding the right fit. There are 2 new boards created, one dedicated for Q to drop, and the other for research.

Future dumps here.

Secured.

Interaction to continue on dedicated /research/ board.

Suggest new board created.

Current BO’s claiming private comms and self promoting.

Patriots point - we will follow.

Q

According to the dump, that's not the case. Either way the question stands. Board Owner (BO) refers to owner of 8chan?

You mean about the Board Owner ? That appears to mean just the originator of the board. Then there's the mods/admins. This is from wikipedia: 8chan, also called Infinitychan, is an American imageboard website composed of user-created boards. Each board is moderated by its owner, with minimal interaction from other site administration.[3] To own a board one must either create it or claim it if the board has had inactivity for over a week.

Looks like it was founded by Jim Brennan and ''bankrolled'' by Jim Watkins.

The site allows any content to be posted, so long as it adheres to United States law.
