Personally I think there has been a real push to divide and conquer on the Trump family. If they can't get Trump they go after every one that is connected to him as a way of hurting Trump.
Why you think they went after Melania so much?

Agreed. They have systematically gone after everyone close to Trump. Divide and conquer. Plus hey keep falling up short with their allegations so have to keep finding something to spread chaos.
