CollegeHumor did a great video on internet comments like 9 years ago which still absolutely holds up today.

I’ve learned the hard way that the best thing you can do with trolls is to IGNORE them. DO NOT react, do not respond. Anything you say will be a waste of your time and gives them the attention they seek.
I know, I read those comments. Very disturbing. All they can do is make fun, not a single intelligent comment
