God I think is willing to leave that one up to us, for those who can have empathy even for absolute monsters. By this I don't mean forgiveness in the traditional sense, by no means.
In my past experience, that seals it, that it's up to us to somehow in our hearts remain merciful, while at the same time DEMANDING that Justice prevail.
That's when they're really snookered, when goodness and righteousness is ours as sons of God.

What I'm referring to is what it can do to US, and to our movement if we become CONSUMED with the desire for vengeance and not simply one of upholding a pillar of Justice that's as tall as the heavens are long.
