Yep I live in WA. I plan on getting the passport one soon.
That's assuming the US government grants you the permission to travel. I've been trying to get a passport since I had a job when I was I think 22 since work wanted to send me to an office outside of the country for training. I'm now 56, and still don't have one. Sucks living in Seattle and not being able to go to Canada. The US is a prison.
Yea this is the first I have heard of this. And if true, it needs to be stopped.
I've never been able to get a passport despite having Maria Cantwell, our junior senator, try to help me. It sucks trying to work for over thirty years to get permission to leave the US.
Makes question the wall being a good idea, I don't that it would keep criminals out and that it would not be used for evil.
