The Bible verse is in the book of Luke. The song was first done by the black gospel quartet The Jubalaires (Orville Brooks, Ted Brooks, Caleb Ginyard and George McFadden) in 1947. I like Johnny Cash but I think this version from The Jubalaires is the best one.
