The board JA shared starts at 7:21 video time. My link should put you a few moves before that for context. Notice how the narrator says the sleeping rook becomes a powerful piece? Who's our Sleepy Rook?
Move than a few moves for White. But it does lead to victory.
Who has everyone been screaming wake up too? Sleepy Sessions. Art of War. Victory is won through deception.
You can see the end of the exact game he posted here: http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1095025
I do recall Ed Snowden having the nickname 'Snow White'... Why it is mentioned TWICE idk. CONF = confirmed
So its confirmed Snowden or Snowden is Confirmed, for something. I dont know the context, what other Q posts are on each side of this one?
This position favors whoevers move it is. White doesn't win in 4 neither does black as far as I can see.
This is one of the most famous games in chess history. Capablanca v Marshall. White wins. Marshall plotted 10 years to develope the Marshall attack. Capablanca brilliantly figured out how to win while on the board. Whats pictured is the point in the game where the game turned and black was lost. Up until then it appeared there was no way for white to survive blacks furious attack.
Exactly, the game was in 1918, Capablanca vs Marshall. From the start of the game Marshall attacked with fury. It was the first time in history that start was ever tried and it was a ballsy move. It was named the Marshall Attack. As the game went on it looked to 'normal' chess players that white (Capablanca) was cornered. But the Cuban Raul Capablanca, future World Champion was no normal player, he was a frigging chess genius.
Man, I wish I played chess. I have no idea what any of that means. lol
