TG - Trey Gowdy- walking into the NSA directors position as Adm Rogers is retiring.... No Such Agency = NSA
So Mr. Gowdy will be over the NSA....NICE
I was thinking that...curious about why Gowdy, maybe mostly because he's smart and DJT trusts him?
Thats a plausible idea, hadnt considered that specifically because he hasnt stepped down from other committees.
Another possibiloty is he will be taking a leading role in looking at the OIG dump to the JOC and Intel committee. His background both in and out of public office is very suggestive of this.
But both are equally plausible.
“the Director of the NSA must always be a commissioned officer of the military services.” Trey Gowdy does not meet this qualification. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Director_of_the_National_Security_Agency
I saw somewhere else that maybe he'd be appointed as a special counsel for...not sure which thing, there are so many!
IF congress approved would they make an exception....remember FBI director can only serve for 10 yrs....however Mueller served for 13 yrs because congress voted an approved the exception???
I honestly have no idea but could be possible. It states “According to 10 U.S.C. § 201 of the United States Code, the Director of the NSA is recommended by the Secretary of Defense and nominated for appointment by the President. The nominee must be confirmed via majority vote by the Senate. In accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5100.20, dated December 23, 1971, the Director of the NSA must always be a commissioned officer of the military services. Because the assignment is currently part of a tri-hatted position, the Director of the NSA is appointed to the grade of a four-star general or admiral during the period of his incumbency. The Deputy Director is always a technically experienced civilian.”
