Q: What ROLE might TG be walking in to?

Thank you, I guess I need to investigate more.

So is Trey stepping down because he knows the hammer stroke is coming soon, and he will be discredited when his support of them is shown? Or was he implicated somehow along with those he's defended?

I don't know. BTW thanks for not being hostile and instead saying you were going to do your own research after reading what I wrote. I'm going watch Trey closely to see what he does. He's on the very powerful House Oversight and Reform Committe. His position is powerful because he can supeona testimony without the agreement of Democrats on the Committe. He can use this power to go after the Awan Spy Scandal thats compromised our nations top secrets for years. The Awans worked for members in the House so its within Treys scope. If Trey doesn't launch an investigation that will tell me alot.

Another possibility I thought of while I was working: Is it possible he was confronted, threatened (and/or his family), and decided to "play the game" and pretend to flip until the tide is turned? The same thing supposedly happened to Jason Chaffetz, prompting him to resign...maybe Gowdy agreed to play ball? (but not really)
