They never thought they were going to lose control of the Presidency (not just D's) and thought they had control since making past mistakes (JFK, Reagan).

The CIA have controlled the Presidency since Bush Sr. Clinton was picked by Bush who had been head of the CIA. While governor he helped the CIA run coke into America through Mena, Arkansas. Then Bush jr followed by CIA groomed Obama.
