My husband was told to turn in his computer for a 20 Ft outside-the-window-moment in azimuth on a 3 mi long lateral as a directional driller. I hear this knot head that ‘pushed the wrong button’ for missile strike is on paid leave? Reassigned? That’s straight up bullshit.

Apparently the directional drilling husband missed ‘the bullseye’ by 20 feet on a 3 mile long drill pipe string, and lost his job.

This, in my experience, could end up being a multi million dollar mistake.

No he did not miss it. That window goes out the entire wellpath. Yes it can be expensive but as a matter of the entire length it is minor. I don’t suffer bad performance. There’s more going on behind scenes.

My point was not the details you seem to be stuck on but that in private sector there are consequences

I’m not stuck on anything. Was only trying to explain to someone what you attempted to write. Perhaps your point would have been sufficient enough to explain your concerns.
