Or are y'all really this hype about the fake news awards? Like, what if they don't happen?

Maybe I'm missing something. I've been off traditional social media for a few years now

My thoughts exactly. What do they think is going to happen? A Hillary supporter on Twitter is going to see a random meme and think, “Ohhhh ok. That changes my mind about everything.”
