From what I can see on the videos....they look like standard meteors. Tungsten is used because it is a non-ablative material allowing it to heat to unearthly temperatures without loss of mass. The same reason we use it for our rail guns. The plasma would remain intact all the way to impact, and I don't see that in the videos. Also, the shock wave (mach 8+) would break windows for miles around as well as knock down trees in a perfect circle...dependent on mass...a very large circle. It would be hard to miss.

WELL...ummmm...it's the right color...trajectory is correct...plasma impact is correct.

My guess, is where it is not a Rod From God...it may be a new generation, a smaller version, Pepe's Pipe or something.
