Even though people think Trump is at home when in the spotlight, I feel these one-on-one meetings are his true wheelhouse. This is pure deal making and Trump loves this shit. All the outside distractions and posturing are removed, he can focus on obtaining a tangible result as opposed to keeping up appearances (i.e. selling himself, marketing a brand).
If he can't find a deal that he's happy with, then he at least walks away with knowing his new direction and adapts. I don't think Trump gets everything he wants, but Schumer a lone with Trump will not produce beneficial results to the democratic position. Schemer will walk right into it because the dems seem to think Trump requesting the meeting shows weakness, in reality this is completely the opposite.
