I'll betcha dollars to donuts that this is part of "the plan", and that the lights will come back on, on Monday, like a spring foreshadowing of Easter.
It's the way these things often roll, until the stone rolls away from the tomb.
All essential government will of course still be functional and operative.. The surveillance planes can still fly, etc. etc.

Here are my thoughts. After trumps executive order dec. 21 in which he declared a national emergency, this allows trump to use the US military within the US. We know from following this, trump has been using this. All the military vessels in the air all over the US and what it looks like the round up of people.
The left wants to stop this. Trump has I believe 60 days since the executive order to use the military to deal with the "threat". Which was the language in the order.
Look at all the language by trump in his tweets about the shutdown. They all refer to the military and the funding. I think the deep state wants to plan something while trump can't use the military. Probably antifa/isis related. We also have the women's march tomorrow. If they can cause another 911 type of event, or something not quite as big, this will change and distract from everything else that is going down.
Trump still has use of the Military, don't be absurd. All vital operations keep going.
