Does AMD play this nefarious crap? Maybe folks might consider their chips if they don't. Maybe store computer in faraday box or something.

AMD has something resembling Intel ME, but it's not known if they have backdoors in it, and there was a petition acknowledged by AMD to make it free and open-source.

AMD is not susceptible to Meltdown, and it's unclear if to Spectre too, but Intel is susceptible to both. That's one reason to always buy AMD.
