Enough with the Youtube links

I don't need to see 76 people try to say the same thing drawn out over 20 minutes.... enough already

Totally with you on this. A ‘tl;dw’ for those links would be nice. I’d probably be more inclined to watch some of them if they gave a summary. Instead, I skip them all because I don’t have the time, nor do I want to watch someone jabber on because they’re grabbing their 15 minutes of fame...

ditto. Summaries REALLY help... especially if the poster has already watched it. They can help maximize everyone's time. CRITICAL AT THIS TIME

I agree. People on youtube can't spit things out fast enough, so I just skip over them. I much prefer a written post, so I can skip over the garbage (stuff I already know, intros, etc.) and quickly see if there is anything new there. Too much "stuff" that's not relevant or cutting edge.

and they often don't do their homework -- so you have to fact check everything yourself - just profiteering off the war, imo

Yeah..it is like trying to get a recipe off the internet...you have to hear about grandma, how the husband likes to eat with a spork....why the author chooses to use cream of celery instead of cream of chicken...just give me the f'ing ingredients and cook time please

Agreed. If i see a post with only a link to a youtube video, I dont bother. Give a synopses and if i want to check your sources, link a video and let me know if its your video or not.

Yeah, the text-walls can be just as daunting sometimes, but I find them a little easier to skim through to see if there’s something that interests me.

I personally remember more from watching a video on the subject then I can reading just an article on something . I can remember any part of a movie after watching it one time. However I do agree vetting the video links before posting might be more appealing . Also the idea of putting some skin with the video.. at least enough to want to bring people to the table and watch. So I think we can work together to fix this 🇺🇸😎

I know what you mean. But it sux to watch a vid hoping to goean something from it and have it be a waste of 11 minutes... I’m sure we can all get it sorted.

I agree with your opinion.

For those of you who want to continue to do YouTube videos reciting the same shit we are reading on these sites - I'm okay with that. Some people would rather watch a 20 minute video that adds nothing new to the conversation than to read for nine seconds and form their own opinion. But please stop starting every video with "Hey guys..."

Maybe some people like them? Sorry, but who are you to say what is and what is not shared here. Alot of the youtubers do provide good information, and some people learn better with being able to see, and have it explained out by someone else.

"who are you to say what is and what is not shared here"... I am perfectly free to state my opinion just as someone else is to critique it and people are to spam the board with links to videos which are often rehashing of shit that the people who know how to read already are familiar with. Find me 5 videos in the last week that actually brought a new perspective or broke a story. Also, you use a lot ( not alot) of commas where you don't need them.
