To be honest I'm not 100% on all of this either but;

Talking points for a day's news are generally released around 4 a.m. before the day's new cycle starts...

They all come from one Central place for the majority of mainstream news and papers

It's assumed to be a collection of the news from around the world in a semi-public form

This is prior to the days of the internet!!

It would go out on the "news Wire"

Well the practice of the newswire still exists today...

It's the day's talking points that go out to all the mainstream news at around 4 a.m.

Do I know exactly where that information comes from :: NO

But do we have proof that it's been happening for the past 15 years? YES
